MESSY CHURCH EASTER
On Good Friday morning we welcomed 29 children and accompanying adults into Church to celebrate Easter with fun and activities.
The Easter Egg hunt was very popular as the children searched for eggs with a hidden message and when all were found the hunters claimed their chocolate egg.
Many activities we’re available including decorating eggs and wooden bunnies, planting sunflowers, making Easter cards and bookmarks. Cakes were decorated with plenty of chocolate and an Easter banner was adorned with chicks and eggs.
The Toddler corner was a hive of activity and the whole church buzzed with chatter and music. After a busy hour of activities we settled down to watch a short film animation of the Easter story after which everyone joined in some very lively singing.
It was then time for the picnic and as the children tucked into their bags of goodies the adults relaxed with hot drinks and Hot Cross Buns.
All too soon it was time to wish everyone a very Happy Easter and wave goodbye until the next time.
